Today (Wednesday) Stay Classy, VAVi Sport & Social Club and others will host a collection drive for all of our neighbors who were forced into local evacuation centers.

The drive will be held in the park at East Mission Bay Drive, located near I-5 south in Pacific Beach/Mission Bay area, from 7:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. - look for the Stay Classy tent.

We will be collecting blankets, pillows, canned goods, bottled water, and monetary donations for the American Red Cross (suggestions are below). Over the course of the day, all contributions will be brought to the Qualcomm or Del Mar Fairgrounds Emergency Shelter.

Volunteer with us at East Mission Bay Drive, or support the local American Red Cross at the Red Cross Spontaneous Volunteer Center at Horizon Christian Fellowship, 5331 Mt. Alifan Drive (one block south of Balboa and Genesee in the Clairemont area) Wednesday between 9:00am and 5:30pm to register. Registration includes a 1.5 hour Red Cross introductory class, after which a Red Cross representative will work with you to identify how you can help. Bring proper ID, and be sure to call the Center at 858-309-1261 before you head over.

Monetary donations can also be made directly to the American Red Cross San Diego at www.sdarc.org. Neighbors helping neighbors is what Stay Classy is all about - let's do our best to help those who need us the most right now.

Hey Everyone,

Not sure who posted this, but the Stay Classy drive was held yesterday (not today). With the community's support we were able to send over 5 truckloads of supplies to the evacuation centers across the county. Although we are not doing another drive today, we are currently looking into additional ways in which to help the fire victims with various local partners!

Thank you!
