First Responders Need Cots, Specific Toiletries

Posted @ 3:27 PM

American Medical Response (AMR) is tremendously grateful for the media's help spreading the word earlier today about our need for supplies for first responders. We have been blessed by the generosity of San Diegans and have received hundreds of items that are being used by paramedics and emergency medical technicians as they return from duty.

Revised list of needs:

50 cots * Mini-shampoos * Granola bars * SOCKS!! * Lotion * Bedding * Q-tips * Pre-packed aspirin/ibuprofen/Tylenol * Eyewash * Sunscreen * Gold Bond powder * Aloe vera

AMR's headquarters on Balboa Avenue in Kearny Mesa is serving as the base for approximately 300 medical personnel, including many from other counties who do not have personal supplies with them. As they are helping treat victims, provide medical standby, set up fire camps and evacuate hospitals and nursing facilities in San Diego, it would be very much appreciated if San Diegans and local businesses could help them by fulfilling this request.

Any donations that we do not need will be distributed to fire camps and evacuation centers.

DONATIONS OF COTS AND PERSONAL TOILETRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED AT AMERICAN MEDICAL RESPONSE 8808 BALBOA AVENUE, STE. 150 (BETWEEN 163 AND I-15).

To make arrangements or for questions, email info@amr-sandiego.com.
